Code for Japan Summit

The Code for Japan Summit is an annual event celebrating civic tech, providing an opportunity to learn about activities in other regions, connect with peers, and take the next step forward. From 2014 to 2019, the summit was held across various locations nationwide. In 2020 and 2021, it was held online, and from 2022, it has been a hybrid event. Last year's 2023 summit took place in Tokyo.

Overview of the 2024 Event

The 2024 Code for Japan Summit will be held in Kusatsu in collaboration with Code for Kusatsu. This annual event gathers civic tech enthusiasts and practitioners from across the country. Let's come together again this year, from the keynote sessions to the networking events.

Registration is Open on Peatix

Early bird tickets for the networking event are available. It is recommended to purchase these along with lunch tickets early. Additionally, as accommodations near Minami-Kusatsu Station may be fully booked due to the autumn foliage season, please make your reservations immediately.

How to Participate

  • If attending the Kusatsu-Biwako venue, please select the "On-site Participation Ticket [Free]."
  • The venue is about 20 minutes by bus from Minami-Kusatsu Station. While extra bus services are planned for the day, please allow ample travel time.
  • The online venue will be streamed via YouTube Live. The URL will be communicated to participants once decided, so please check the event page and Peatix messages.
